Sapphire
Folklore, Legend, and Healing Properties:
Birthstone for the month of  September
Meaning: Symbolizes calmness, constancy, contemplation, hope, innocence, purity, truth, and virtue...believed to bring its wearer comfort, courage, and strength, while pacifying anger, protecting from danger and fostering constancy in love.
Blue is by far the most popular color for sapphires, but they can be almost any color, including yellow, green, white, colorless, pink, orange, brown, and purple. Padparadscha is the name for a rare orange-pink variety of sapphire and has a higher value than blue sapphires.

Sapphire were said to be worn by kings to protect them from harm. It was also believed that sapphires would protect the wearer from envy and attract divine favour. The gem was regarded as a symbol of truth, sincerity and constancy.

Diamond
Birthstone for the month of  April
Folklore, Legend, and Healing Properties:

Symbolizes brilliance, constancy, excellence, innocence, invulnerable faith, joy, life, love and purity.

Diamond is the hardest substance on earth. Only another diamond can scratch it.

In an engagement, wedding or anniversary ring, diamonds are the established symbol of marital love. The tradition began in the 15th century, when Archduke Maximilian of Austria sealed his engagement to Mary of Burgundy with a diamond ring.

Ruby
Folklore, Legend, and Healing Properties:
Birthstone for the month of July

Meaning: Symbolizes beauty, charity, daintiness, dignity, happiness, love, and passion...believed to have the ability to dispel discord and sadness, to preserve its wearer from false friendships and to warn of imminent danger.
To own a ruby is said to have contentment and peace. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand so as to receive the life force and have protection. Given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship and love. The ruby is also the symbol of vitality and royalty. The Ruby is filled with love and is said to help sexual love to be more passionate.

The name ruby comes from the Latin word ruber, which means red. It is favorite gem among those in power and those in love, inspiring more emotion than almost any other stone
“A drop of the heart’s blood of Mother Earth” is how the ruby is described in the Orient. The Indians call the ruby Ratnanayaka, the lord of the gemstones. The Hindus called the ruby the king of precious stones and the leader of gems. Ruby is deemed to be the most precious of gemstones by the Bible and the ancient Sanskrit writings. Indeed, upon discovery of each Ruby crystal, the Indian Emperor would give a special royal welcome to this King of Gemstones.
